"Jesus shows us true humility, he gave his life to be a blessing for us" by: Caleb Gibson

Does God want us to have good finances, to be healthy, to have good relationships?
Absolutely, in fact the Bible encourages it.
Yet it does not always happen, but this is God’s overall will.
Also, these are great goals to have, but we should not love the goal, we should love God. We should love God and want to gain money to help the kingdom of God and to help those in need, to be a hand to the fallen one.
Proverbs 22:4 tells us, “True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life” (NLT).
Does God want us to be humble?
Absolutely! And does He want us to worship (fear) the Lord? He really does. So we can conclude that overall in our life, God wants us to have good finances, good relationships, and a healthy life.
This is a contrast to the supreme sovereignty view that teaches that everything that happens to us is God’s will. God can absolutely use the bad to make good things, but He doesn’t author the evil.
   He gives us free will.
You choose where you eat, if you want a healthy meal or not. God gives us wisdom to eat right and how to properly workout our bodies.
In the same way with finances, God’s word teaches that the “borrower is slave to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7).
God wants us to use wisdom in this life for our finances. The Word of God is practical for our everyday life.
The difference is this is not guaranteed. This is a principle.
Do you want to be rich, have good health and be honored? Then be humble and fear the Lord.
When you seek the Lord, all of these other details will be added to you.
Just as God provided trees for Adam in the garden, God has set up provisions for us.
Our role is to receive what God has done.
We go to work and thank the Lord for being our provider.
Will your finances increase if you follow the word? Yes! Will your relationships get better if you follow the word and God?
Is this a guarantee? Absolutely not, I’m saying that God’s general plan for your life is to bless you.
Sometimes bad things happen because we live in a fallen world.
Does the Bible guarantee perfect health and wealth in every situation and Christian?
No, the Apostle Paul was shipwrecked and persecuted, beaten, and imprisoned.
We still live in a fallen world with sin and destruction.
Yet we can trust that when we seek the Lord, he will provide for us financially and in our health.
Proverbs speaks of wisdom as being a woman.
Proverbs 3:16 says, “Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor.”
We should not have a love for money or the things of this world, we should really love God.
That is where our primary love should be.
Instead the world wants to hug the hands of wisdom, yet what God wants us to do is embrace wisdom and give a hug.
When we hug wisdom, her hands go around us.
When we are humble, God will bless us.
That is true grace. We don’t deserve it and cannot earn it.
   Jesus today is our wisdom.
He died so that we may live an abundant life.
It has been said before, you can love people and not love God, you cannot love God if you don’t love people.
Jesus shows us what true humility looks like.
He gave his life to be a blessing for us.
Let’s be a blessing to this world.
