When Jesus gave us a template to pray, He said that we should be praying, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On Earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10).
What a great desire, may we continue to desire that God’s will be done on this Earth. So what is the Kingdom of God?
Oswald Chambers once said, “We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties.” Being a part of the Kingdom of God means that our entire life is shaped by God’s heart.
When you are a part of this Kingdom, you are saying, “Lord all that I am is yours.”
When we go through difficulty, we look to the King. We are all called to have a kingdom mindset.
This means that the way we walk is different than how this world walks.
You can tell the joy of someone by looking at their eyes.
When someone smiles with their eyes you can see much more expression.
People who are more joyful are typically those who smile with their eyes. For example, when you speak on the phone with somebody you should be smiling.
People can hear your joy on the phone.
People can hear the mannerisms of your face through the telephone.
Our face transfers the sound of our voice. When someone smiles without lifting their eyes, the smile can seem inauthentic.
Remember that as Christians, we need to represent the Kingdom.
Why is Heaven so perfect? Because everyone in Heaven is following the King.
This Earth is in chaos because not everyone on this Earth is in submission to God.
Psalms 145:13 tells us, “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.”
God’s Kingdom is not a temporary one, it is one that lasts.
The Kingdom of God happens when God rules in our hearts and lives. That is how we can bring the Kingdom of God to this world.
When we know the King’s desires, we can know how to bring the Kingdom of God to this world.
