"Your past does not determine your future" by: Caleb Gibson

The Apostle Paul told the Church in Philippi, “Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14).
In life, we all have plans and paths.
The plan is where we want to go and the path is where we do go.
It is God who is the one who is to lead our life.
That’s what everyone should seek after.
We need to seek after God first in our plans.
Stuart Strachan Jr. shared a great story about find our path.
At the heart of London is Charing Cross.
All distances across the city are measured from its central point. Locals refer to it simply as “the cross.”

One day a child became lost in the bustling metropolis.
A city police officer - Bobby as they are referred to in London - came to the child’s aid to try and help him return to his family.
The bobby asked the child a variety of questions in an attempt to discover where the boy lived, to no avail.
Finally, with tears streaming down the boy’s face, he said, “If you will take me to the cross I think I can find my way from there.”
What a great story to think about. May this be the heart of every believer.
May we look to God when we don’t know what to do or where to go. It’s the Lord who can guide us.
I recently broke my right side mirror for my truck.
Although it is difficult to drive with, it is legal to drive with since I have two other mirrors, the left and middle one.
When we drive we look forward for the majority of our time.
There are moments when we need to look back and observe, but the majority of our time lays in what is going on in front of us.
Unless we are Tow Mater, we must keep our eyes on the things ahead of us.
This is what God wants in our lives.
You may have had a difficult childhood, maybe you were hurt or mistreated.
It’s God who directs our steps and He is the one we must go to when we make our plans.
Take time this week to have a quiet time with the Lord and ask God to lead you.
