PSA: Harness the power of budgeting

   Do you need to stick to a budget?    You might be surprised at how many ways budgeting can help you.    First, a budget provides a clear picture of where your money is going, which can give you a greater feeling of control over your life.

   Well, that was a really bad month for equities.     The S&P 500 stock-index had the worst start to the year since 1939.     The NASDAQ is down 20% from its all-time high, which puts that index in correction territory.     GDP for the first quarter came out as -1.

PSA: Retiring early? Know your health care choices

   Life doesn’t always go as planned.    For example, you might think you’ll retire at 65 or later when you’ll be eligible for Medicare.    But if you retire before then, how will you pay for your health care?

   What is hyper-grace?     I personally do not use this word because it has negative connotations.     If you type these words in google you will get articles and videos that talk down about hyper-grace. There are many straw men arguments that are just really false.

   I returned to work on this week’s paper last weekend.     It was good to begin the process of putting out a newspaper again.     Over the past month and a half, I’ve been in three hospital – here at MRMC, in Sugar Land and in downtown Houston.
