   Alright, I know that movies featuring giant monsters fighting aren’t something exactly new to the big screen.    However, I’m all about action flicks that feature titanic creatures duking it out with an awesome soundtrack and easy storyline.

   When most people talk about springtime they see it as a time of new growth, new beginnings, more sunlight, and so forth.  For me, it’s nothing like that and my mom can wholeheartedly agree that I’m not a springtime person – I’m better suited for months when there’s less sunlight.

   We made it through the first quarter of the year and the S&P 500 climbed 10%.  This hasn’t happened in over a decade.  In years past when the market has climbed this much, there has been over a 50% chance that the index will be higher by the end of the year.

   To say I grew up watching the Ghostbusters franchise isn’t an understatement by any measure of the word.   In fact, the original two films from 1984 and 1989 respectively, have always been a cornerstone of family fun in our household.

   People associate the words power and control with those individuals at the top of the wealth and status hierarchy.   Ironically, power and control aren’t synonyms; instead, they are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

   I can’t begin to tell you about the stunning and, more importantly, world-changing idea I had for a column this week.   But, alas, my daughter Jessica’s whose 6,000-word (OK, it was 600) column violated our unofficial word length rule, and forced me to shorten this column.
