Emotional residue

In Other Words....

The pollen count has been off the charts in the area for weeks.
The clues are inevitable- watery eyes, running nose, scratchy throat and, of course, the yellow pollen settling on cars, park benches and sidewalks, all subtle hints from Mother Nature that Spring has sprung.
It’s such a beautiful time of year for humans to be saddled with unwanted side effects rendering us captive inside our homes. Preparation is key.
Stocking up and administering antihistamines, eye drops, vitamin C, and nasal sprays several weeks before creates a stronghold right before the weapons of mass congestion arrive on the scene.
Well before Spring we’ve found ourselves saddled with plenty of other residue wreaking havoc on us.
We find ourselves wading through uncertain times and the constant need to discern whether information coming our way is fact based or opinion driven.
Just like pollen in the air, social media, news outlets or folks we encounter with negative energy contaminate us with emotional residue unseen by the naked eye.
It may be unseen but is certainly felt.
Left untreated, this emotional residue can buildup and create mental health allergies.  Subconscious Reprogramming Coach Gyovana Ferreira @embrace.manifestation shares content about brain rewiring and intentional living that can ease the symptoms of occasional emotional residue:
First, what is emotional residue?
Emotional residue is the lingering imprint someone leaves in your energy field - their words, emotions, or presence through conversations, news outlets and social media that continues echoing even when you’re no longer interacting. When does this happen?
After intense conversations, conflict or criticism and opinionated exposure.
  Why clear it?
Because if you don’t, their imprint mixes with your field, leaving you feeling drained, stuck, or not fully you.
Clearing residue brings back your clarity and power. Where does this technique come from?
Reaching all the way back to the 14th-17 century, traditional spiritual schools from Europe focused on sacred science, healing, and consciousness.
  Why the image?
The human mind holds onto pictures. When you think of someone, you don’t just recall facts - you recall their energetic imprint.
Dissolve the image, dissolve the energetic charge left behind.
  Why does it work?
Psychology: Visualization rewires how your brain stores memories.
Spirituality: Energy follows attention - release the image, release the residue.  Subconscious - Your mind accepts symbolic acts as real clearing.
  When to practice:
Before sleep, after arguments or criticism, when you can’t stop replaying in your head what you heard.
Ferreira continues with the 5 steps to release the emotional residue:
Prepare - Find a quiet space, close your eyes, breathe slowly.
Call up the image - bring the person’s face to mind, no judgement.
Dissolve the image- imagine the image melting away or dissolving into light until it is gone.
Look beyond - once the image dissolves, notice what remains such as patterns or colors from their energy.
Release and replace: Say silently: “I release what isn’t mine.”  Visualize your own field filling with light, calm or warmth.
  Why it’s powerful?
You stop replaying their words and expressions.
You no longer carry their emotional charge and return to your own frequency.
Reminder - It’s not about erasing people.
It’s about clearing the sticky residue they leave behind so your energy can flow freely.
In other words, just like taking preventative medicine for allergies, be prepared to do some visualization exercises to release any lingering negative energy effects left behind from your daily encounters.
Is it 100% effective? Nothing is 100% effective, not even your allergy relief products, but any relief is better than no relief at all.
