Do you feel stressed not able to live the life you want to live?
I believe there is a way to live complete and satisfied.
To thrive is when you are able to live with God.
To thrive is to continue to grow. God wants us to live the abundant life!
Everyone’s life gets better when they become a follower of Jesus.
Now there are exceptions, for instance: Paul and the Apostles went through severe persecution, they were tortured and killed.
Also there are tragedies that take place for everyone, saved and unsaved.
But overall, take those who are saved and those who are not, the unsaved will have a worse overall life.
Proverbs 11:28 reads, “Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.”
Yes God will bless us with finances as we follow Him, but our trust can never be in anything other than God.
What tastes better, the microwave or the stove?
You can cook ready-made chicken in a minute in the microwave or 15 minutes in the oven.
Which will taste better? Growth takes time.
When someone really follows God, they will gain wisdom. When we gain wisdom, we make better health choices, and better financial decisions.
These small steps add up to a better overall life.
This year, take time to go to church, read the Bible, and set aside time to pray.
When we trust in God, we will thrive!
Proverbs 29:2 tells us, “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
God wants you to be faithful in the position you are in.
He also wants Christians to take leadership positions. Pray for the salvation of your boss.
We need not only good leaders, we need good Christian leaders. This does not mean that every politician who claims to be a Christian should be elected.
We must evaluate their values and actions as well as their words.
William Temple once shared a great illustration: “It is no good giving me a play like Hamlet or King Lear, and telling me to write a play like that.
“Shakespeare could do it; I can’t. And it is no good showing me a life like the life of Jesus and telling me to live a life like that.
“Jesus could do it; I can’t. But if the genius of Shakespeare could come and live in me, then I could write plays like his.
“And if the Spirit of Jesus could come and live in me, then I could live a life like his.”
God not only cares about our future; He counts the hairs on our head today.
God does not want you to simply tread through this life.
May God live through us and cause us to thrive in this life!
Remember the words of Jesus,
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
