"Spring Break now arrives an hour earlier" by: John Sample

Well, I know you are at least waking up earlier due to Daylight Savings time.
Moreover, that little dust up in the Middle East will cut into your budget with WTI climbing almost $20 to just under &90 a barrel.
Your next trip to the pump will be a reckoning.
With rising energy costs comes higher prices across the board.
It makes it difficult for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates.
We had a pullback last week and do not need to worry about record-breaking new highs.
What will prove interesting will be the predictions of how low we will go.
Will the investors of the last three years jump back in on the pullback like every other time?
If you were looking for alternatives to stocks, Bitcoin rallied from the mid-60s to the mid-70s only to fall right back.
Precious metals still hold value, as do basic materials like copper.
Many are still touting European stocks, but you are now very late to the game.
It just seems to me that unless you are short this market, you will have to let this play out.
For some strange reason this conflict seems like suspended animation.
I really have no clue if we are making progress or losing ground.
Then you throw in the recent primary elections to really make it a smorgasbord of concepts to digest all at once.
It is no wonder you are feeling disoriented.
The recent pullback in software stocks seems a bit overdone to me.
That is not to say that we have achieved value.
  Far from that adjective.
What we have at least done is pullback to more reasonable multiples.
Of course, the public’s focus is still on the Mag 7 with Nvidia still leading the parade.
We finally got a resolution of the merger of Warner with Paramount, instead of Netflix.
I am interested to see if HBO and Peacock can compete in the streaming wars.
At least I will get paid for my investment.
I hope you enjoy your spring break.
I am off on a cruise with my daughter’s family.
It will be a bit of adventure as I am trying to imitate a pirate.
Took a bounce a couple of weeks ago and hurt my ankle.
Not going to limit activities, but will prove a bit of a challenge.
Can’t stop smiling being with my grandsons and hope you have as much fun.
Actually good to be away from all that is happening.
As always, little I can do to mitigate.
  Just adapting to the surroundings.
