El Maton
The program and Christmas tree was held Friday evening at the school house, the program was well given by the children, the heavy rain that fell Friday evening kept a number of people from attending.
Some that did come wore rubber boots and walked.
The teachers and children need to be congratulated for their splendid work.
The most beautiful part on the program was the star drill rendered by seven girls each dressed in crepe paper dresses of rainbow colors.
One girl was dressed in white crepe paper and held a bright star with six stringers hanging from it.
The other six girls held to the stringers and marched around by music. This was beautiful, this being the closing of the program.
Santa Claus came in to distribute the many presents on the beautiful tree.
The tree was heavily loaded and the children enjoyed Santa very much as he was a jolly fellow.
