Van Vleck High School junior Jakob Trevino was selected for the 2026 Texas All-State Band for the second consecutive year.
Trevino was one of several VVHS band had several members compete in Area auditions at Calallen HS
Trevino will be representing Van Vleck in San Antonio Feb. 11-14, rehearsing with the best musicians in the state.
They will perform at the Lila Cockrell Theater the morning of Feb. 14.
This achievement is the pinnacle of success as a high school musician.
Van Vleck faculty point out that they haven’t had a student make All-State twice since 2001.
