   VAN VLECK - The Van Vleck Leopards took at 14-12 halftime lead into the locker room, but it was all East Bernard in the second half as the Brahmas outscored the Leopards 28-0 the rest of the way for the 40-14 win.  With the loss, Van Vleck drops to 2-3 on the season, 0-1 in district play.

Matagorda County fire calls

Bay City Volunteer Fire Department:    On Sept. 19, at 11:21 a.m., responded to a motor vehicle fire at Hwy 35 and Nile Valley.On Sept. 20, at 7:51 p.m., responded to a motor vehicle fire at the 1400 block of FM 457.    On Sept. 22, at 11:02 a.m.
