"MCEDC OKs new Associate Membership" by: Jessica Shepard

   Matagorda County Economic Development Corporation board members unanimously approved a new Associate Membership Program during their meeting last Friday.  The new program features four tiers ranging in price from $1,000 to $10,000 or more, depending on the prospective member’s choice.

Aggravated food truck robbery leads off BCPD reports

   Bay City police officers were sent to the 1000 block of Avenue G, about a robbery that had just taken place Thursday, July 24.  It was determined that a food truck owner had just arrived to work when a man pointed a gun at him and demanded money, police said.
