   Nicole Ryman is the Valedictorian of Van Vleck High School’s Class of 2025.  Ryman is the daughter of Kenneth and Ingrid Ryman and the sister of Hunter Ryman.  Her grandparents are Timothy and Teresa Blanchette.  She’s chosen to pursue a bachelor degree in nursing at McMurry University.

Bay City High School’s Class of 2025 commencement ceremony starts at 8 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Memorial Stadium.  A total of 258 students are set to graduate with a stadium audience of friends, family members, and peers.

   A total of 79 seniors will graduate from Van Vleck High School starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Burl McKinney Stadium.  The stadium is predicted to be packed with graduates’ friends, family members, and peers.

Life jacket project enters its 3rd year

   In 2023 Girl Scout Morgan Matherne and Brook Miers contacted Commissioner Kent Pollard about a project they wanted to do for their badge completion.  They originally got the first donations for life vests and created the signs that are used.
