Bay City Police Department seeks assistance from the public to identify a person that pushed a pregnant female and attempted to rob her.
The 29-year-old female was walking to her car on Monday, April 13, between the hours of 9 to 9:20 p.m., in the H.E.B. parking lot, at 2700 7th Street.
As she got to her car and opened the door, a black male subject, possibly wearing a black shirt with khaki pants - with a short-buzzed haircut - pushed her from behind and pinned her down on the seat, officers said.
The male grabbed her wallet and demanded money as he went through her wallet, police said.
As she explained that she did not have money, a witness saw what was going on, police said, and shined his lights on the car, and asked if she needed help.
The victim was able to talk the suspect from her car and he calmly left on foot.
If anyone saw someone matching this description during this time frame or have any other information on this case, they are urged to contact the Detective Johnny Cagle who is assigned to this case, at 979-476-8794.
