"Frick: New pact helps county roads" by: Mike Reddell

   Precinct 4 Commissioner Bubba Frick said a road use agreement approved Monday, Dec. 4, addresses damage to county roads by heavy trucks.      The court approved a road use and road repair agreement with Eldora Energy, which intends to use County Road 411 – Buckeye – El Maton Road.

Tourism OKs two birding sponsorships

   Bay City Tourism Council members unanimously approved two $3,000 sponsorships promoting eco-tourism during its regular meeting Monday.      The first grant was approved for the 27th Annual Audubon Matagorda County Mad Island Marsh Christmas Bird Count (CBC) slated for Monday, Dec. 18.
