Van Vleck ISD trustees voted to approve an ordinance setting the 2023 tax rate at .883311 per $100 valuation, at the school board’s meeting Monday, Aug. 29.
Last year’s rate was $1.113068 per $100 valuation.

Bay City began the 2023 football campaign with a decisive 40-27 win over Sweeny Friday, Aug. 25, at Memorial Stadium.
The Blackcats shook off a rough first half – Bay City trailed 14-10 at half - and came out firing in the second half.
