Guns, drugs, currency taken in search warrant

A search warrant executed in the 2900 block of Avenue I July 21, resulted in the seizure of drugs, weapons and currency, Bay City police said.
The search warrant was requested by the narcotics unit after spending months working to build this case.

Precinct 4 Commissioner Bubba Frick commented that heavy agriculture traffic was still occurring on the west side of the Colorado River.

A certified site program for prospective industries or businesses was discussed by the Matagorda County Economic Development Corporation at its meeting Friday, July 21.
A certified site is one that includes, among other things, title searches, no environmental issues or endangered species.
