Sneary appointed chairman of Wildlife Habitat Federation

   Cat Spring, TX  – Wildlife Habitat Federation (WHF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Loy Sneary as the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees, effective immediately.  Sneary, who has served as Vice Chair since 2021, succeeds James Loyd Fatheree, Jr.

   Matagorda County Extension Agent Greg Baker welcomed almost 50 attendees to the Matagorda County SWCD #316 workshop June 13.  “I’ve already heard several questions about feral hogs circulating and let me tell you, we’ve got an expert presenter for you,” he said.

   Matagorda County SWCD #316 workshop featured six different speakers covering everything from clean water and feral hogs to commercial motor vehicle regulations last week.  Lone Star Healthy Streams Program Specialist Leanne Wiley explained the importance of water quality to nearly 50 attendees.
