Chief urges safe driving

   Dear Bay City Residents,  Over the past few weeks, our community has experienced an unfortunate increase in traffic accidents.   As your Police Chief, the safety of our residents is my top priority, and I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of safe driving.

House fire cause undetermined

    The cause of a fire at a vacant Van Vleck house Aug. 30 was listed as undetermined, Fire Marshal Dan Shook reported.

   Stuart Lynn discussed his motivation and tools for success at the Bay City Community Development Corporation’s luncheon last week.  “I want to kick off today with a talk about business growth, project planning, managing goals, and building great teams,” he said.

Deadly car crash under investigation

   A 51-year-old Brazoria was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle as he worked on the ground behind a trailer on 8th Street Aug. 18, Bay City police said.
