‘ The Ripple Effect’

In Other Words....

I’m told on a movie set there is chaos coming in all directions until one word  is uttered, “Action!”
All work and preparation comes down to a three-minute take, and if successful, production is primed and ready to move on to the next scene.
Each of us is starring in a movie called life.
Though we have family, friends, co-workers etc. involved in our scenes, our movie is unique because it’s how we perceive our life is unfolding.
Granted, we don’t have a script to follow or hair and makeup at the ready; nonetheless, taking action is what moves us through our day-to-day life.
There’s a ripple effect theory that’s defined according to the website parentsleadershipevaluation.edu as, “A gradually spreading influence or series of consequences caused by a single action or event. It creates a pattern that expands from the original point of origin.
“The impact is felt in waves that keep growing and expanding. The same can be said about words, an act of kindness or goodwill.”
In life, you don’t need a camera following you around capturing your every move.
Ripple effects happen based on our simple choices to be kind and be in service to one another.
The ripple effect is immeasurable as it continues to carry on and on, on and on using any of our five senses.
Be aware of what’s going on around you.
Expect ripples of positive engagement between you, family, friends and coworkers instead of the alternative-chaos, disrespect and discord.
In other words, be on the side of promoting others, embracing change that mirrors respect, compassion and kindness.
