"Search warrant leads to drugs, weapons seizures; BC man arrested" by: Mike Reddell

   A 62-year-old Bay City man was arrested on several drug and firearm charges after a search warrant was executed at a residence in East Matagorda County Jan. 16.
  The arrest came after a thorough, ongoing narcotics investigation, involving members of the Bay City Police Department Specialized Investigation Division Narcotics Unit, Special Response Team, BCPS Patrol Division, and the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant at 451 County Road 133 within Matagorda County, in the late hours of Jan. 16, a Bay City Police Department press release indicated.
  Arrested was Noe Correa, 62, for manufacturing and delivery of the following controlled substances: methamphetamines (15.3 grams) and Hydrocodone (84.2 grams) under penalty group 1.
  He also was charged for manufacturing and delivery of THC vape pens (16 grams), under penalty group 2-2A, and possession of marijuana (1.48 pounds).  
  Several firearms also were seized as evidence, police said.
  “The Bay City Police Department, alongside our law enforcement partners, will continue to aggressively pursue and prosecute those who manufacture, distribute, or possess illegal narcotics in our community,” said Police Chief Christella Rodriguez.
  “Drug trafficking endangers lives, fuels violence, and destroys families, and we will not tolerate it in Bay City or Matagorda County.
  “Let this serve as a clear message: if you choose to engage in the sale or distribution of narcotics, you will
  be identified, investigated, and held accountable,” the chief said. “Our officers are committed, our partnerships are strong, and we will continue working relentlessly to keep our community safe.”
