Bay City City Council positions 1 and 2 are up for election Saturday.
Position #1 became an open race after incumbent Ben Flores dropped out to run for Texas Land Commissioner in the Nov. 3 general election.
Three candidates now have filed for Position 1: Lyn Ryman-McCalister, Stacy L. Rowh, and Cory McCray
Position #2 features Jim Folse, the current Mayor Pro Tem, who is seeking re-election.
He’s opposed in that race is a former city employee, Marilyn Alvarado.
Bay City ISD school board has two positions up for election - Position #4 and Position #5.
Position #4 is held by Priscilla Robinson, who is unopposed.
Position #5 is held by Mark West.
West faces Martiesa Smith at the polls.
Palacios ISD features four trustee positions up for election.
Those positions are currently held by the following:

Position #5 - Becky Aguilera
Position #6 - Haley Garcia
Position #7 - Fabian Marroquin
Laws will defend his seat against Luis Pina, Jr at the polls.
Karen Botbyl is running for Position 4, and Position 5 features Marcos Aparicio.
Haley Eggmeyer Garcia is pursuing Position 6, and Position 7 incumbent Marroquin is unopposed.
