Terence Lehmann, a BCJH student, auditioned for and was selected for the TCDA MS/JH All-State Choir this summer in San Antonio.
The choir was under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Redding, founder and artistic director of the Garden Community Choir and Voci del Cuore (Voices of the Heart) in Winter Garden, Fla.
A Grammy Award recipient and supremely accomplished in many endeavors, he also was recognized for his achievements and service in the choral profession.
The TCDA All-State Choir was a part of the 2022 TCDA Convention in San Antonio, July 21-23.
This auditioned group of 200 students who completed grades 6-8. Students selected to the chorus were expected to arrive mentally and musically prepared for rehearsals.
Terence participated in 2.5 musical and fun-filled days which concluded with a concert performance on July 23, for over 1,000 choral directors, families, and guests.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Terence, and an incredible opportunity to work with Redding.
Bay City ISD and Bay City Junior High are beyond proud of Terence. He represented our district and our schools in a way that can make everyone proud.
