Extension Office: Maintain No Gain

“Maintain No Gain” is a free 6-week program that will serve as a guide to control holiday weight gain and encourage a healthy lifestyle that will help individuals decrease their risk factors for cardiovascular disease and stroke.
“Maintain No Gain” is being presented in collaboration with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service – Matagorda County and Matagorda Regional Medical Center Wellness.
“The goal of the program is to gain no more than a 2lb. weight increase during the six weeks,” reads the Extension Service press release.
“Each week, nutrition information, exercise tips, and recipes will be shared via email to assist with the 2lb. minimum weight gain goal and encourage mindful and healthier eating throughout the holiday.”
The program will begin on Thursday, Oct. 26, with an initial weigh-in at MRMC Wellness Center beginning at 5:30 pm.
Weekly weigh-ins will be on Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, with the final weigh-in on Thursday, Dec. 7.
All weigh-ins will be at MRMC Wellness Center, 135 Medical Center Drive in Bay City.
