An explosive device found at a residence in the 3400 Block of Fifth Street Thursday, June 30, was detonated safely and successfully, Bay City Fire Marshal Daniel Shook said.
Bay City PD supported the investigation with resources.
The PD bomb squad went to the scene, reports show, and the area was evacuated for safety.
Shook said the investigation was on-going.
