Matagorda County Retired Teachers Association (MCRTA) Officers recently attended the TRTA District 3 Spring Conference and House of Delegates Live meeting at the Texana Education Center.
Members heard legislative updates, celebrated large numbers of hours of volunteer efforts, discussed book project ideas, recognized chapter anniversaries, heard officer reports, and installed District 3 Officers.
MCRTA President Mena Collins was inducted as the TRTA District 3 Second Vice President and MCRTA was recognized for their 55-year anniversary.
The next MCRTA meeting will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at St. Peter Lutheran Church.
A boxed lunch from Chic-Fil-A will be provided for $13.

Guest speaker is BCISD Superintendent Chris Townsend, who will give a projected financial PowerPoint presentation concerning BCISD.
