Mary Lynn Mosier Flores graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration.
She started her career in education as an English teacher at Huntsville High School.
After two years in Huntsville, she moved back to Palacios, her hometown, and worked for thirteen years as an English teacher at Van Vleck High School.
Finally, in 2014, she joined the English department at Bay City High School.
As a teacher, she had the opportunity to lead students as sponsor of student councils and chapters of the Texas Association of Future Educators.
She served on test development committees, assessment evaluation teams, governing boards, and even teacher leadership teams.
In 2016, she began her work as a campus administrator.
In these last seven years, she has served as instructional coach, assistant principal, and academic dean at Bay City High School.
She also is a staff developer for AVID and trained in teacher mentoring as well as Results Coaching.
She leads with a growth mindset, promotes the building of relational capacity, and empowers staff and students to utilize data-driven practices as well as collaborative team approaches to develop and implement innovative strategies that yield results.
