Retired teachers hold memorial for members who died

   The May Matagorda County Retired Teachers Association (MCRTA) recently had a memorial for two members who
  passed away this year at the lunch meeting at King Buffet.
  MCRTA also installed officers who will serve a 2-year term and discussed volunteer
  opportunities. 
  Officers are: Mena Collins, president; Carol Crow, first vice president; Barbara Gordon, second vice president over the Book Project; Dianne Farrar, second vice president over media distribution; Jessie Stone, treasurer; and Lucia Hyde, Secretary. 
  Barbara Evanicky also works with the officers on scholarship awards, phone tree organization and planning meetings.
