Tenaris presented the Matagorda County United Way Board of Directors with a $12,500 donation during their most recent board meeting on July 8.
Hector Piñeda, Operations Director at Tenaris’s seamless facility in Bay City, and Scott Savage, Community and Regulatory Affairs Manager for Tenaris, attended the meeting to present the check.
“The Matagorda County United Way is a true partner for this community,” Piñeda said.
“Tenaris is proud to support this organization for many years. We have seen the great things they have been able to do for our neighbors here in Matagorda County, and we hope that this donation can help fuel future impact.”
“We are grateful for the generous donation from Tenaris,” Elizabeth Quillin, Matagorda County United Way Executive Director, said.
“Their support will allow us to continue to assist our local Partner Agencies with food banks, medical care, afterschool and summer programs and much more. We sincerely thank Tenaris for their commitment to making a positive impact in our community and we look forward to continued collaboration in building a stronger community together.”
In addition to the recent donation, Tenaris has sponsored the United Way Day of Caring for the past seven years, including the upcoming event in the fall of this year, and its employees have participated in the annual Adopt-a-Family program during the holiday season, helping dozens of families in need.
