Contributed photo Van Vleck High School’s BBQ Team is the state champions from the High School BBQ Cookoff - the No. 1 Cook-Off team in the state. Out of 98 teams, they placed 1st in dessert, 4th in beans, 3rd overall and walked away with $13,750 in scholarships. That makes a grand total of $34,750 for Burnt Offerings in the last four years in scholarships.
