Two females, aged 19 and 17, were killed when the BMW they were passengers in crashed and caught fire after colliding with a Cadillac on Texas 35 in Van Vleck at 12:35 a.m. Monday, Sept. 2, according to DPS Sgt. Stephen Woodard.
The two vehicles involved were a 2016 BMW, driven by Kanye Williams, 19, of Bay City, and the other, a 1998 Cadillac coupe de ville, operated by Matthew Mugler, 42, of Victoria, Woodard said.
Woodard said Williams left the scene and was located nine hours later at a Lake Jackson hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
Dead are Kylie Folmar, 19, of Van Vleck, and a 17-year-old girl whose name wasn't released by Woodard because of her age.
Neither Mugler nor the passenger in his car, Hailey Wise, 42, of Bay City, were hurt, the Trooper reported.
Woodard said the crash is still under investigation.
