Aggravated food truck robbery leads off BCPD reports

   Bay City police officers were sent to the 1000 block of Avenue G, about a robbery that had just taken place Thursday, July 24.
  It was determined that a food truck owner had just arrived to work when a man pointed a gun at him and demanded money, police said.
  The robber was an unknown black male wearing a hoodie and a mask, reports show.
  The owner complied and the robber took off running.

Passing counterfeit leads to foot chase and arrest 
  Officers responded to a report about a male subject trying to pass a counterfeit bill at a business at the 3300 block of 7th Street at about 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 21.
  The male subject, later identified as Robert Gruber, 40, from Conroe, had left the location on foot.
  Officer Dillion Wakefield and Corporal Jose Soto found Gruber and a foot chase ensued, police said.
  Detective Chris Cunningham was in the area and assisted officers.
  When officers caught Gruber, a struggle occurred that injured two officers.
  Gruber was arrested and searched, incident to arrest. Gruber had methamphetamine on his person, officers said.
  Gruber was transported to the Matagorda County Jail and booked in for the following charges: Evading arrest, assault on a Peace Officer x2, and possession of a Controlled Substance-PG1.
 

Traffic stop leads to chase and drug arrest 
  Fire Marshal Daniel Shook, acting in a capacity of law enforcement and covering a patrol shift for the Bay City Police Department, observed a traffic violation and made a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Ave. F at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24.
  The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Rossana White, 48, from Bay City, quickly got out of the car and ran into a store, reports show.
  Shook caught and detained the woman.
  During the course of the investigation, two different types of drugs were located, police said.
  White was arrested and transported to the Matagorda County Jail and booked on the following charges: Manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance - PG1 1g-4g, manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance - PG1 4g-200g, tampering with evidence, and evading arrest.


Traffic stop leads to drug and weapon arrest 
  Officer Cody Jansen conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Helen at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, July 27.
  After observing probable cause, he and other officers searched the vehicle.
  Officers found large quantities of different types of drugs in the car along with a semi-automatic pistol, reports show.
  Perry Williams, 40, of Markham, Leti Soi, 31, of Bay City, Chundrea Tolbert, 34, of Bay City, and Lori Thomas, 62, of Bay City, all were arrested and taken to Matagorda County Jail for various drug charges, officers said.
