The Matagorda County Stampede Oct. 22-23 featuring concert with Maddie and Tate and Cody Wayne – that kicks off 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22.
The Matagorda County Fair Association also is sponsoring the PRCA-sanctioned Extreme Roughstock Event.

Matagorda County Trade Days kicks off the weekend from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, around the courthouse square.
A variety of artisans, crafters - and more from across the state - arrive in Bay City bring handcrafted items.
Vendors have everything imaginable.
There’s also live music throughout the day and a variety of food trucks offering delicious food choices on tap.
Check out “Science on Saturday” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wharton County Junior College Bay City Campus, 4000 Avenue F.
Science on Saturday (SOS) is a community event featuring science presentations, make-and-take experiments, tours, and hands-on activities that are fun and educational for the whole family.
Bay City Parks and Recreation Department hosts the “Zombie 2-Kish Wilderness Run,” starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, at Riverside Park.
Registration is $35 per person and includes a shirt, bag, bandana, race bib, and a medal.
Trophies will be awarded at the Riverside liberation party for fastest overall, fastest male and female, slowest overall, and best zombie outfit.

- The Armory, 1209 10th Street, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. until Oct. 22.
- On-line at https://cityofbaycity.org. Go to the Parks and Recreation page and click on register.
- Riverside Park, 7330 FM 2668, Monday - Sunday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. until 5 p.m. on the day of registration.

Closeout the fun-filled day with the Matagorda County Birding and Nature Center’s annual “Full Moon Food Truck Festival” from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24.
Social distancing is encouraged and bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
Entry is $7 per person at the gate with children 12 and under free of charge.
Advance tickets are available for $5 at Green Bros. Jewelers in Bay City.
Live music is provided by As the City Sleeps, Ashtyn Kruse, and Ernie Aparicio.
Food trucks available onsite include Frank’s BBQ, Salty Heffa, Full Moon Woodfired Pizza, Real Deal Grill, Roosters2Go, Shoreline Eats, and Thibodeaux Cookers.
