‘HomeTown Christmas Celebration 2023’ set to begin with Dec. 1 parade

   Bay City Parks and Recreation elves are busy planning the “3rd Annual HomeTown Christmas Celebration”
   This year’s celebration includes the annual Lighted Christmas Parade, Christmas Event and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Riverside Park by bringing back the ever-popular Wilderness Trail of Lights.
   The seasonal event kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, with Bay City’s HomeTown Lighted Christmas Parade on 7th Street, from Moore Avenue to Texas 60.
   The parade is co-sponsored by the Bay City Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture.
   The “Christmas Event” is scheduled from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Riverside Park, 7330 FM 2668 in Bay City.
   The event features include an outdoor skating rink, a gingerbread bouncer, entertainment, informational booths, crafts, games, and food trucks.
   There is a $10 per car entry fee.
   The celebration continues with the return of the “Wilderness Trail of Lights.”
   There will be hayrides through the Trail of Lights from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 - Sunday, Dec. 17, with a $10 per car entry fee.
   Walks through the Trail of Lights will continue from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18- Monday, Jan. 1.
