"HomeTown Christmas opens Friday" by: Jessica Shepard

   Bay City Parks and Recreation kicks off the holiday season with the “3rd Annual HomeTown Christmas Celebration” with Bay City’s HomeTown Lighted Christmas Parade starting at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1. 
   Co-sponsored by the Bay City Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture, the parade travels along 7th Street, from Moore Avenue to Texas 60. 
   The HomeTown Christmas celebration includes the annual parade, Christmas Event and the return of the “Wilderness Trail of Lights” to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Riverside Park. 
   The “Christmas Event” will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Riverside Park, 7330 FM 2668 in Bay City. 
   The event features include an outdoor skating rink, a gingerbread bouncer, entertainment, informational booths, crafts, games, and food trucks. 
   There is a $10 per car entry fee. 
   The celebration continues with the return of the “Wilderness Trail of Lights.” 
   There will be hayrides through the Trail of Lights from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 - Sunday, Dec. 17, with a $10 per car entry fee. 
   Walks through the Trail of Lights will continue from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18- Monday, Jan. 1.
