Matagorda Regional Medical Center Foundation’s (MRMCF) fall fundraising event, “Pulse: A Bavarian Experience” kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Bay City Civic Center, 201 7th St.
This fun Oktoberfest-themed night will raise funds to upgrade the cardiac patient monitoring system at Matagorda Regional Medical Center (MRMC).
The MRMCF 2023 efforts will focus on raising funds that benefit the heart, as well as the overall continuum of care.
This new cardiac monitoring system will help the care team stay connected to what’s vital and deliver consistent quality patient care by offering advanced clinical decisions and support tools to work together to anticipate and treat critical events at the earliest possible stage.
This system will allow virtually gap-free patient records from admission to discharge and even during transport throughout the hospital.
“We are excited to hoist an Ein Prost to our community on Saturday,” said MRMCF Executive Director Tiffany Foltyn in a press release.
“Join us in the outdoor Biergarten where your favorite Shiner Bock and more will be served! The ceremonial ‘Tapping of the Kegs’ and ‘Stein Hoist’ will kick off the event.”
Austin’s Off the Grid Band will play polka music, along with German cuisine and games.
“Brush up on your chicken dance, and dirndl and lederhosen dress is encouraged!” she added.
“We will ‘Grand March’ into the Civic Center around 8 p.m. where Louisiana’s Superpop phenomes “Bag of Donuts” will take the stage.”
A live auction will take place around 9:30 p.m.
Purchase tickets to the Biergarten only for $25, join us at 8 p.m. for “Bag of Donuts” for $50, or enjoy the entire festival for $75 per ticket.
Tickets will also be sold at the door and Pulse will be a cashless event.
“For no wait, we encourage attendees to purchase their Bavarian Bucks online and pick them up at Will Call or stop by the Foundation office at 1833 7th Street in Bay City,” said Foltyn.
“We accept cash, checks, credit cards, Venmo, and CashApp. Join us as we raise a German toast to health and wellbeing - Ziggy Zaggy Oi Oi Oi!”
