Police: Traffic stop leads to cases cleared

Officer Jordan Siegel made a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of Cameron B. Woods, 18, of Bay City, at about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 19.
Woods was taken to Matagorda County Jail and charged with traffic violations, reports show.
Detectives believed the man to be a suspect in several burglaries around town.
Investigators met with Woods for an interview later that morning.
The investigation led to the clearing of several motor vehicle burglaries, a criminal trespass case, a burglary of habitation and an aggravated robbery case, police said.
Detective Richard Morales said that the investigation is continuing with more charges pending.
He thanked the public for their assistance.
