The search warrant capped a month-long investigation by the Bay City Police Department Narcotics Division, narcotic officers, with the assistance of Bay City Police Department, CID detectives, and the Matagorda County Sheriff’s Office.
The search warrant was executed at the
residence of a suspected narcotic trafficker, Lunsford said.
Arrest warrants are pending for Nichols Matthew Talasek, 27, in Wadsworth, police said.
Talasek was not home at the time of the search warrant, reports show.
Officers located and seized 4 pounds of marijuana, 928 grams of THC Vape pens, cartridges, and oil, 448 grams of mushroom-infused candy bars, and a customer-based ledger of previous sales the suspect had done.
