Shook: Palm Village fire still under investigation

   Bay City firefighters, police officers and Fire Marshal Dan Shook were sent to a building fire at Palm Village, on Tuesday, Aug. 1, reports show.
      The call came in at about 9 p.m., at 2001 Palm Village Drive, Bay City.  
   A local resident noticed a small fire from the second story balcony near unit No. 632.  
   On scene, the fire department rapidly extinguished the fire.  
   Siding was removed to ensure the smoldering wood was completely extinguished and to prevent a rekindle, Shook said.  
   No one was injured during the incident. 
   He said the damage was estimated at $5,000.  
   The fire marshal investigated the incident.  
   The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
