Officers were sent to the 1300 block of 7th Street, in reference to shots fired, a little after 2 a.m. Friday, April 28.
Upon arrival, someone pointed to an area of the parking lot saying someone had gotten shot.
Officers made contact with the victim, a 33-year-old man from Bay City.
The victim was transported to Matagorda Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.
At this time the circumstances of the incident are not clear, and the case is still under investigation.
