The Palacios Beautification Committee announced the return of the Taste of Palacios Seafood Festival, from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Main and 4th Street in downtown Palacios.
“This annual event promises a day full of fresh seafood, family fun, and live music, showcasing the best of coastal Texas culture and cuisine,” said Palacios Beautification Committee Member DC Dunham in a press release.
Event highlights include:
Seafood tastings - sample a mouthwatering selection of seafood delights at our tasting tent.
The 3 top best “Taste of Palacios” will be awarded cash prizes and recognition.
Oyster sampling - journey along the Texas Gulf Coast without leaving town - oyster farmers will present a variety of oysters on the half shell for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience.
Family-friendly fun – Kid’s Fishing Tournament at 8:30 a.m.; face painting by the Boys & Girls Club “Children’s Activity Area” hosted by the YMCA, featuring bouncy houses, cornhole, giant Jenga, golf and kickball inflatables, animal races, and tic-tac-toe; cookie decorating with the Palacios ISD Culinary Department; train rides and a “Touch Tank” presented by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Live Music All Day starting at 1 p.m. with Lost Shaker & Salt and at 4 p.m. with Rewind Texas, playing high-energy classics until 7 p.m.
Over 50 vendors and food trucks.
“Come explore a wide variety of local goods, food, and drinks – we have something for everyone to enjoy,” added Dunham.
Admission is free for all attendees, while beer and wine will be available for $5 each.
Tasting tent armbands are $50 per person and will be available for purchase on-site at 4th and Commerce Street.
