Tenaris
Tenaris marked its third consecutive year partnering with the Matagorda County Fair & Livestock Association to award the Scholarship for Agricultural Sustainability, providing $40,000 in scholarships to students participating in the Pen of Three Commercial Heifer Show.
This year’s scholarships benefited 39 students from across Matagorda County, reinforcing Tenaris’s long-standing commitment to supporting youth engaged in agricultural education and leadership programs.
“This project is more than just raising cattle,” Leissa Schrader, Fair Manager for the Matagorda County Fair Association, said.
“These are skills that can be used to further their education in agriculture. MCFLA is honored by the generosity of Tenaris and their commitment to the youth of Matagorda County.”
“The Matagorda County Fair & Livestock Association plays a vital role in developing young leaders in our community,” said Scott Savage, Tenaris Community and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
“At Tenaris, we are committed to investing in our local students to strengthen our community’s future.
“These scholarships reflect our admiration for the determination, skill, and entrepreneurial spirit these students bring to their work.”
In addition to the Scholarship for Agricultural Sustainability, Tenaris will host its 13th annual Roberto Rocca Scholarship program in May, awarding more than $200,000 to Matagorda County high school seniors.
Since 2013, Tenaris has invested $4.2 million in the local community through scholarships, donations, and support for local institutions.
