"Thames explains Bold Fox plans to Commissioners Court members" by: Mike Reddell

An update on Bold Fox Development’s proposal to build between 180-200 homes on 50 acres across Texas 35 from Tenaris was given to Commissioners Court at its regular meeting Monday, Sept. 13.
Mitch Thames told the court that he was asked by the TIRZ 2 board to explain the Bold Fox project to the county and the other agencies that are part of the TIRZ 2 (Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone).
TIRZ 2 board members are trying to move quickly to annex Bold Fox’s 50 acres of housing development presently not in the city limits and to enlarge the size of the TIRZ 2, now located east of Show Boat Road (McCrosky Road), said Thames, Bay City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture president.
Arthur Milberger who owns much of the property in TIRZ 2 purchased another 156 acres west of Show Boat Road.
Added to the existing TIRZ acreage, the new property will give Bold Fox more to work with in developing a regional drainage plan for the 400 acres that could include parks, playgrounds and walking paths.
The 50-acre development is the first housing section that Bold Fox proposes.
With a regional drainage plan, Bold Fox’s plan will mean homeowners won’t have to dig individual retention holes.
Thames said Bold Fox investors are excited about Van Vleck’s new schools, calling them a “big draw for Bold Fox.
“I think we’re on the right track.”
