"Tidehaven considers water loop linking school with stadium" by: Jessica Shepard

Tidehaven ISD trustees unanimously agreed to pursue plans for a water loop between the high school campus and the football stadium during their meeting, Sept. 27.
All board members were present for the meeting.
“With everything going on from Hurricane Nicholas and the number of people without power at that time, it got us thinking about constructing a water loop system,” explained TISD Superintendent Dr. Andrew Seigrist.
“We just want to be overly cautious in case we should lose power on either side of FM 1095 since one side has Jackson Electric and the older part with our stadium has AEP services.”
Seigrist told the board he would pursue a project proposal highlighting the ability to have continuous fresh water at either location as needed.
“That sounds like a good deal,” said Board President Stephen Crow.
“It’s definitely something we’ve looked at before, but getting solid numbers and a scope of the build will help us make a fully informed decision.”
