Applications for “Toys for Tots Matagorda County” are due Saturday, Dec. 10.
Last year, the toy program handed out over 900 toys to local children.
The forms are available online at https://bay-city-tx.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/local-toy-request-single-form.aspx?nPreviewInd=200&redirectInd=11.
The application link can be found on the “Toys for Tots Matagorda County” Facebook page.
Once an application is submitted, it generates a confirmation email.
“An approval email will come later with instructions,” said Toys for Tots coordinator James Scardami.
“Please print and keep this email. Toy distributions for those signed up by Dec. 10 will be on Saturday, Dec. 17.”
Saturday, Dec. 10 is also when donations of new and unwrapped toys are due.
Current toy donation sites include:

- State Farm – Justin Rhodes
- McCoy’s Building Supply
- Chili’s
- Next Level Barber Institute
- Studio Flair
- Dollar General by Sears
- Edward Jones –James Scardami at 2120 6th St.
- Krenek Chiropractic
- Power Church
Monetary donations are also accepted at Scardami’s office.
“If you would like to donate cash or check, 100% of donations go towards toys and are distributed 100% in Matagorda County,” said Scardami.
“Distributions for late sign-ups will be on Saturday, Dec. 24.”
