Bay City PARD slates pickelball, adult softball leagues

Pickleball is America’s fastest-growing sport and specifically is a mixture of tennis, badminton, and ping pong.
“It’s fast, fun, and exciting and is very popular,” said Bay City Parks and Recreation Department supervisor Kelly Penewitt.
“Pickleball is fun for people of all ages and no experience is necessary to play! So, join in the fun and learn something new with Pickleball!”
“This new program is a terrific example of the community guiding us as we seek to enhance and grow our recreation programming,” said Bay City Parks and Recreation Department Director Shawn Blackburn.
“Pickleball is here because our community asked for it. We are excited to offer this new program and love seeing the new courts filled with pickleball players.”
