Kick off the New Year with the Bay City Parks and Recreation Department’s “7th Annual Polar Plunge” starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at Hilliard Pool.
Hilliard Pool is at 3020 LeTulle Ave. in Bay City.
“Will it be cold or warm?” asked Interim Director of Parks and Recreation supervisor Kelly Penewitt in a press release.
“Who cares? Come and join us for a dip!”
Held on the first Saturday of each New Year, Bay City residents get the chance to take the “polar plunge” into

The fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children 17 and under.
This year’s fee includes a shirt, donuts, and hot cocoa, as well as warmers to warm up after the plunge.
You can register in the following three ways:
- Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. until Jan. 6, at the Armory, 1209 10th St. in Bay City.
- Register online at https://cityofbaycity.org by going to the Parks and Recreation page and clicking on register.
- Register the day of the event until 9 a.m. at Hilliard Pool.
