Tidehaven will defend its unbeaten status that has put the Tigers atop District 14-3A-2 standings when Tidehaven visits Brazos there Friday, Oct. 13.
The Tigers (5-0, 2-0) have scored 211 points against their opponents 7 total points, reflecting Tidehaven’s string of four shutouts to begin the season.
Brazos (5-2. 1-2), is coming off a 28-0 loss to East Bernard last Friday.
“Brazos is coming in with a winning record,” Tiger Head Coach David Lucio said.
“They just lost to East Bernard, but it was a close game until the fourth quarter when East Bernard pulled away,” he added
“They run an old school power offense which could benefit them if the weather is bad like it is predicted to be,” Lucio pointed out.
“Their defense is solid so we expect them to give us a good challenge.
“We will be prepared to play in any type of weather,” the coach said.
“After Brazos we will be home for Danbury, which will be our homecoming game.”
