A Bay City man faces evading arrest and drug charges after leading Bay City police on a car chase Wednesday, May 31, reports show.
Officer Ariana Garay conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2800 block of 7th St., at about 8:21 p.m.
Garay made contact with the driver, identified as Timothy K. Warn, 60, of Bay City, police said.
After that contact with the officer, Warn drove away.
A vehicle pursuit began and lasted about 10 minutes.
During the pursuit, the suspect was seen throwing items out of the vehicle, reports show.
The items were recovered, police said, and tested positive for meth.
Warn came to a stop in the 4700 block of Tarpon, officers said.
Police placed him in custody without further incident.
During a search of the vehicle, more narcotics were located, police said.
Warn was transported to the Matagorda County Jail and charged with evading arrest/detention and manufacture/deliver controlled substance, police reports show.
