Amanda Campos, Matagorda County Emergency Management Coordinator, has officially lifted the county-wide Burn Ban effective immediately.
Residents are now permitted to resume outdoor burning in accordance with all state and local regulations.
While conditions have improved enough to remove the ban, everyone is strongly urged to continue exercising caution.
Always monitor your burning, keep a reliable water source nearby, avoid burning on windy days, and ensure fires are fully extinguished before leaving them unattended.
